10 Aloha shirts, 10 weekly quarantine concerts and over 9 hours of music from my bedroom. Starting at #3 the sound got WAY better thanks to OBS Studio and my Boss Acoustic Artist Pro coming to play as my audio interface. ANYWAY... here is all the Derek you never wanted. Enjoy

I just played the Stevenson WA Farmers Market over the weekend. It was GREAT to be out doing a little outdoor physically distanced playing and singing and everyone was SO nice to me (as usual). Standing under the tent in the grass watching the windsurfers and enjoying the gorgeous Gorge weather. So nice... Thank you to the kind generous vendors as well and the awesome Manager Pharaoh and her husband. I will be back in August! Like a trip to the Farmers Market after a hike in the woods on the way to Goose Hollow Inn for a margarita. Join me as I plow though my huge set list ... one hour at a time. Stay home stay safe and have a drink with me, your uke strumming quarantine buddy. We will get through this together and I know that Every Little Thing Gonna Be Alright, so don't worry about a thing. Unexpected Ukulele Everybody ready for my first S.I.P. Concert?! Saturday at 4pm PST I will take to Facebook Live for an hour of 6-string uke originals and clever covers for everyone trying not to go crazy at home. Here is a link to my song list, feel free to hit me up with requests... https://unexpected-ukulele.weebly.com/song-list.html My mellow season is in place. As of May 2020 my schedule will go crazy again for summer so I am appreciating this break immensely!! But... I am totally looking forward to hitting the Farmers Markets and playing in all the beautiful places all over or lovely little spot in the world all summer. Thanks for playing along...
I have had MANY people ask me about my album covers. Who took the picture, where is it taken and where did I get it? These pictures are mine. Along with music, cooking, hiking, kayaking, SUP-ing, snowboarding and longboard skating I also take pictures. That's right baby I AM the Renaissance Man you have heard about!! I enjoy life as much as I can...
But back to the subject matter... SANCTUARY is a picture from before the Gorge fires, heading up (or is it down) the Pacific Crest Trail going south from Cascade Locks OR towards Dry Creek Falls. I really LOVE the Sun being in pictures like that and the lush green-ness was off the meter that day!!! LESSONS LEARNED is the amazing Twin Tunnels that lies just west of Mosier OR on what was the origin 1921 Columbia River Highway. They were cleared out and turned into a hiking biking trail which is pretty frickin' spectacular. If you are ever around check it out. So there you have it, I have another album coming out this December so we will see what that ends up being. I truly believe indie artists have the freedom to deliver much more artistry than most of the famous moneymakers or global WEB performers. Those folks have to work hard to align with stereotypes or entertain more than create. Independent musicians are carrying the Mantle Of Musicality.
